Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a client-first mentality are three ways Louise McLead has been described, and those are also vital elements needed for the role of tax manager. Originally from Ipswich in the United Kingdom, Louise was recruited by Florida State University to play golf. At FSU, she was an NCAA D1 golfer, Team MVP, All-ACC, and Academic All-American. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with a BS in Finance, Marketing, and Multi-National Business Operations; yes, a triple major. She attended FSU for her MBA and is a licensed CPA in Florida and Colorado.
Louise is a self-professed tax nerd and loves all things tax-related. After years of honing her skills at PricewaterhouseCoopers and then as an in-house tax expert, her appreciation for the rules and regulations of the tax world never waned. As the tax manager at Foster & Motley, Louise works closely with the director of tax to ensure our client's diverse tax compliance needs are met. She also serves as a valuable resource to our advisors on complex tax issues.
Louise lives in Clearwater, FL, with her husband and two sons. She has two remote “co-workers,” yellow lab Lulu and black lab Dixie, who most often can be found sleeping on the job. Louise enjoys spending time with her family, playing almost all sports, and rooting for the Florida State Seminoles. She also takes every opportunity to cheer on her sons in their chosen activities.
