After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Ryan worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in their International Assignment Services group. There he specialized in income tax preparation and consulting services for individuals working outside of the US (expatriates) and non-US citizens working in the US (foreign nationals). Working for PwC enabled him to gain extensive personal income tax experience on clients with complex financial situations. He was intrigued with the prospect of living abroad himself and was afforded the opportunity to work in England for two years with PwC. Ryan and his wife, Annie, traveled extensively throughout Europe visiting 16 different countries during the two-year period they lived there.
After leaving PwC in 2009, Ryan started his own tax practice and built it from the ground up. Ryan leveraged great relationships and his international tax expertise from his days at PwC to grow his practice. Ryan focused on providing exceptional client service and that was one of the catalysts that brought him to Foster & Motley. While servicing mutual clients alongside the Foster & Motley team over the years, Ryan noticed and appreciated the standards in which the firm operated. Ryan’s focus on client satisfaction and extensive experience in providing tax services was a natural fit with Foster & Motley’s desire to provide tax services as part of their full-service wealth management offering.
Ryan resides in Edgewood, Kentucky with his wife Annie, two sons Luke and Landon, and their dog Maverick. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys watching his sons play sports and making trips down to Laurel River Lake, Kentucky to go boating. He also has a passion for soccer and enjoys going to FC Cincinnati games with his family.
